Start at Powell and Market, where you'll see the famous Cable Car Turnaround. Across the street is the San Francisco Shopping Center and Nordstrom's. The spiral escalators here are a destination in themselves.

Length: 2 miles 2 hours for shopping & fun (more if you plan on eating)

Walk along the Embarcadero and see the active San Francisco Bay. Start the walk with the Bay Bridge towering over you. Day or night this magnificent structure is definitely something to see.

Start: Powell St. & Columbus Ave. (At Washington Square Park)
Finish: Filbert St. & Columbus Ave.
Length: 1 mile 1 hour for shopping and fun (a beautiful place to spend the day)

On the northern edge of the park, you'll see Saints Peter and Paul Church, which offers services in Chinese, Italian and English. Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio had their wedding photos taken here, although they were not permitted to wed inside the church itself.
